The area contains 423 privately owned lots and over 50 government owned lots. In 2005, we applied for and received grants, which let us get work completed on 53 lots at an average cost of $3,187 each. The United States Forest Service also worked on a few lots. This year we hope to complete 63 additional lots. The USFS is also treating 1,000 acres along Kingsbury, including federal land adjacent to the North and West perimeter of Chimney Rock.
