SB579 Provides Appropriations for NVFSC The Senate Finance Committee passed SB 579, which contains an appropriation for the Nevada Fire Safe Council in the amount of $750,000. The appropriation is not specific as to "overhead" or "projects." To see the Bill text clicl on the link below. The Nevada Fire Safe Council is referenced in section 33 of the bill. Although this amount is less than originally sought, it is the third largest appropriation on the list. We should all be proud of what was accomplished considering that the Senate had $10 million availablefor ALL requests outside the budget.
